Inventory Coordinator Technician

Duty Statement

• Supplying materials for production such as: WIP, packaging, pallets and raw ingredients and other materials as needed.
• Check multiple reports/PQ’s for variances and fix issues that arise.
• Selects RM’s & Packaging to be staged for production, ensuring quantities are correct and supply is consistent throughout the week.
• Daily check to ensure materials have been consumed per production schedule, if variances found, follow up with production and manufacturing coordinator.
• Ensure Raw Materials are moved from storage warehouse into production on a weekly basis.
• Once job is complete, cycle count all used SKU’s ensuring no large variances to help the Manufacturing Coordinator apply to jobs.
• System transfer materials in a timely manner to ensure Syspro is accurate.
• Returning & documenting materials from production to the warehouse after changeovers.
• Manages seconds, drums and melter inventory.
• Be the “go to” person for all material movements and discrepancies in and out of production.
• Own a portion of the quality hold log, follow up with suppliers for corrective action.
• Link workflow processes between Quality, Warehouse, Production and Supply Chain.
• Perform cycle counts as needed.
• Perform route cause analysis on consistent issues and implement countermeasures.
• Follow up and investigate extra scrap from production.
• Consolidate materials/pallets.
• Follow and comply with 5S system (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
• Monthly count on consumable items and advise what need to be purchased.

Resposibilitiies

▪ Responsible for all inbound quality control of raw materials and packaging.
▪ If non conformance found, investigate, and follow up with vendor/shipping company.
▪ Own the quality hold and rework process physically and systematically.
▪ Ensure hold tags and correct paperwork is received and accepted by QA.
▪ Creation of non-conformance paperwork.
▪ Accountable for all rework and WIP are properly packaged before returning to warehouse.
▪ Health & Safety compliance in accordance with Company policies.
▪ Demonstrate high standards of work practices, food safety and safety conscious behavior.
▪ Perform regular audits.
▪ Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
▪ Critical Control Points: Ensure proper Allergen and Organic Storage is followed.
▪ Run Kanban for production consumables.
▪ Conform to all quality standards, knowledge of Quality manual and procedures.
▪ Ensure that SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards are always followed.
▪ Maintain clean work area.
▪ Comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Forklift operation certification is required; or ability to obtain forklift operation certificate.
• Understanding of Health and Safety in a Manufacturing environment, with a safety-oriented approach to work and to others.
• Experience with Syspro considered as asset.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Has a “Can do attitude”.
• Highly accurate, inquisitive, great attention to detail and an aptitude for problem solving.
• Must be punctual, proactive, and possess excellent work ethic.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities while meeting specific deadlines.
• Experience working with RF scanners.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility. Able to prioritize workload, understand a sense of urgency and effectively meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills in English written and verbal. Able to explain self and listen to others in a respectful manner.

Working Conditions:
• Able to work on foot for long periods of time and performing repetitive work.
• Wear protective clothing, such as coats, hair nets and safety shoes.
• Exposure to machinery sounds and loud noise levels.
• Ability to push, pull, bend, and lift items in a production setting.
• Good hand and eye coordination to sort pieces in a timely manner


Salary Range - $57,000 - $63,000
