We’re hiring a Reactor I&C Systems Calibration and Diagnostics Specialist for a full-time, long-term contract at our client’s site in Bridgman, MI.

Imagine walking into a facility where your craftsmanship directly supports clean energy. In this role, you’ll safeguard measurement integrity and system reliability by:

  • Inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating electronic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic process instrumentation.
  • Maintaining microprocessor-controlled radiation monitoring systems and electronic nuclear instrumentation systems.
  • Leveraging computers and software to configure, monitor, and troubleshoot wireless networks, servers, and other networked platforms.
  • Calibrating and testing transmitters, indicators, converters, and switches; validating PA/telephone systems; and verifying heat trace circuits and trace control units.
  • Repairing alarm modules, electronic/pneumatic controllers, microprocessor-based recorders, and control relays.
  • Analyzing, testing, and repairing solid-state reactor protection systems, rod control systems, and rod position indicator systems.
  • Installing design changes including wiring modifications, cable testing, wire terminations, drawing revisions, and the installation of piping, tubing, and fittings.
  • Partnering with engineers and vendor technical representatives on data collection, troubleshooting, adjustments, repairs, and specialized system testing.
  • Documenting and reporting damaged or out-of-spec equipment and any abnormal conditions.
  • Providing input/verification for Test Procedure development and supporting Planning with work package reviews and walkdowns.

What you’ll bring

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of experience in Instrumentation & Controls or a closely related field.
  • Fluency with electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and flow diagrams.
  • CPR/AED certification.
  • Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana and CBD products), and employment testing.
  • Ability to qualify for work within a radiological controlled area.
