Job Purpose
Complete setups on compacting presses.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete daily set-ups on presses.
- Assist with production issues related to the press, set-ups, or quality.
- Prepare adapters and tooling for the upcoming set-ups.
- Assist with quality root cause and countermeasures internally and externally.
- Train new associates how to setup presses
**Required Education and Experience
**
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior manufacturing experience in a powdered metal facility.
- Set-up presses at a skill level 5 operator.
- Experience running multiple presses.

Working Conditions
This job operates primarily on the manufacturing floor.
Incumbents are subject to high temperatures (up to 115°), loud noises, and dirty working conditions for long periods of time
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs during setups and for grapping of trays, pulling or pushing carts, etc.
- Requires twisting, climbing stairs, pushing hoppers.
- Climbing ladders and mezzanines.
- Requires bending, stretching, and use of hands to feel, touch, or handle objects.
