Inbound Warehouse Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Inbound Lead to oversee and optimize the inbound logistics operations within our distribution center. This pivotal role involves managing the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming materials, ensuring seamless coordination with warehouse teams and external carriers. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and a comprehensive understanding of inventory control, process improvement, and safety standards. As an Inbound Lead, you will play a critical role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations, supporting inventory accuracy, and fostering continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall productivity.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily inbound activities including shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate material handling.
• Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to schedule deliveries and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
• Oversee the operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners to facilitate safe and efficient movement of goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
• Implement process improvements aligned with lean management principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
• Lead, train, and manage warehouse staff involved in inbound operations, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous development.
• Conduct regular audits of inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Collaborate on distribution center operations to streamline shipping & receiving activities while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Support the implementation of warehouse management systems (WMS) for enhanced tracking and reporting capabilities.

Experience

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, logistics, or supply chain management within a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated leadership in warehouse supervisor roles or team management positions.
• Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations including materials handling equipment operation such as forklifts.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems (IMS), RF scanners, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies like lean management.
• Experience with shipping & receiving procedures, inventory control practices, and distribution center operations.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes.
• Ability to communicate effectively across teams with managerial communication skills.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting and performing manual material handling tasks as required.
• Knowledge in forklift, EPJ and Pit Equipment.
