Location: Berkeley, CA
Work Model: Hybrid
We’re seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead the development and validation of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electromechanical systems for next-generation, grid-scale battery technology. In this role, you’ll coordinate cross-functional workstreams across systems architecture, mechanical and electrical engineering, testing, supply chain, and manufacturing to drive product development from early design through mass production.
This is an opportunity for a technically minded program leader to influence product decisions, manage complex engineering schedules, and ensure critical milestones are met in a fast-paced hardware development environment.
Lead end-to-end development of HV/LV electromechanical systems, from requirements gathering and design reviews through prototyping, validation, and mass production.
Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed program schedules, aligning engineering deliverables with overall program milestones.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, testing, and supply chain to drive execution and resolve program risks.
Manage product cost reductions, quality improvements, and component maturity roadmaps throughout the development lifecycle.
Identify schedule risks, remove roadblocks, and develop solutions to keep programs on track despite changing priorities or technical challenges.
Develop and present key performance indicators (KPIs), program updates, and milestone progress to engineering leadership.
Manage component-level timelines and align bottom-up engineering schedules with top-down program objectives.
Track and drive Jira action items and issue resolution to maintain accountability and ensure timely closure.
Coordinate product release activities, including engineering changes, component readiness, and bill of materials (BOM) management.
5+ years of experience in technical program management or relevant experience in high-voltage batteries, electric vehicles, powertrain systems, energy storage, robotics, or related hardware industries.
Experience managing engineering product development from design and validation through manufacturing ramp and mass production.
Proven ability to develop, maintain, and communicate complex cross-functional schedules, manage dependencies, and drive milestone execution.
Understanding of multilevel bills of materials (BOMs), including mechanical and electrical components, product structures, and component dependencies.
Familiarity with product release processes, engineering change management, and the creation and revision of parts and BOM structures.
Experience using Smartsheet or similar Gantt chart and project scheduling tools, along with Jira or comparable issue-tracking platforms.
