Area Supervisor - Greenville, South Carolina and surrounding areas Pay Rate: $20.00-$26.00 per hour based on proven work history Schedule: Normal Business hours with willingness and ability to provide responsive customer support outside of standard business hours.
The Area Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing quality inspection projects and leading teams of inspectors at customer sites. This includes setting up projects, managing customer expectations, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring team performance. This role requires frequent travel to customers' locations and supervises operations, providing training, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Area Supervisor:
Supervise and coordinate daily operations of quality inspection teams at various customer sites
Develop and implement work instructions for inspectors
Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members
Monitor quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with project requirements and work instructions
Serve as main point of contact for customer relations and communications
Maintain accurate documentation, including data sheets, time sheets, and project reports
Conduct audits, attend daily meetings, and enter data into internal platforms
Ensure procedure are being followed, including appropriate dress code, PPE compliance, and ensure safe working practices
Escalate Non-Conforming Issues/Materials or disputes to management for resolution
Upload and update requirement documentation into project database(s) within designated timeline
Assign daily inspection projects and manage resource allocation effectively
Position Requirements of the Area Supervisor:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent REQUIRED
Minimum two years of supervisory/leadership within the automotive manufacturing or automotive quality assurance industry
Strong customer service and business-to-business development and communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Self-motivated with a positive and adaptable mindset
Ability to travel to customer locations on short notice
Must possess a valid Driver's License and have reliable transportation
Willingness and ability to provide responsive customer support outside of standard business hours
