A day in this role

You’ll arrive for your shift and start by reviewing drawings and work orders, then move between stations to assemble electromechanical components to exacting tolerances. Throughout the shift, you’ll:

  • Interpret schematics, blueprints, and work instructions to plan each build.
  • Assemble, align, and fasten parts using appropriate hand and power tools.
  • Measure and verify tolerances with precision instruments (e.g., calipers).
  • Drill, tap, and prepare bolt holes as specified.
  • Fit and align components with templates, fixtures, and jigs.
  • Inspect surfaces and dimensions, adjusting and reworking as needed.
  • Install and test wiring; record test results and maintain clear documentation.
  • Keep tools organized, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Schedule

  • Regular shift: 5:30 PM – 4:00 AM
  • Initial training (2–3 months): 1st shift, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

What you’ll bring

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Deep experience in electromechanical assembly.
  • Extensive wiring background with proven troubleshooting ability.
  • Comfort reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Clear, effective communication in English (read, write, speak).
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Quick learner with the ability to process information and execute accurately.
  • Safety-first mindset; proficient and safe with power tools and equipment.

Compensation

The starting hourly rate for this position in Georgia is $21.00. The final rate may vary based on budget, experience, and qualifications. This role also includes a one-time, pre-tax sign-on bonus of $1,000, payable after 180 days of employment.
