Shape aerospace reliability from the shop floor.
Join a Connecticut-based precision manufacturer as the Quality Systems expert for our aerospace machining programs. Youll translate standards into practice, turn data into decisions, and partner with Engineering and Production to lift process capability across the plant.
What a typical week looks like
- Lead deep, evidence-based root cause investigations and drive robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) that stick.
- Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Manufacturing and Design Engineering to implement process improvements that raise first-pass yield and reduce variation.
- Author and refine inspection documentation: work instructions, standard inspection procedures, and detailed inspection plans for aerospace components.
- Plan and execute Measurement System Analysis, including Gage R&R studies, to validate measurement capability.
- Prepare and maintain PPAP deliverables and address customer-specific quality requirements.
- Build and maintain SPC programs to monitor process capability and trigger action based on control chart signals.
- Facilitate or contribute to FMEAs and related risk mitigation activities.
- Support internal and customer audits; sustain compliance to AS9100 throughout the quality management system.
- Oversee documentation control across production: ensure traceability, proper revision control, and records integrity.
