Maintenance Technician 2nd or 3rd shiftPosition SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role supports production by minimizing equipment downtime, performing preventative maintenance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in maintaining a safe work environment and supporting operational excellence.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerformroutine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC equipment issues to minimize downtime.Execute preventative maintenance activities according to established schedules and procedures.Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history documentation.Assist with the installation, modification, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and equipment failures.Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance.Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements.Support plant operations during scheduled shutdowns, changeovers, and special projects as required.Responsible for food safety, food quality, and site safety.QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent.Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, food production, or related environment.Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams.Experience using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or flexible schedules as needed.PreferredTechnical degree, apprenticeship, or vocational training in Maintenance, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related field.Experience working with PLCs, automation systems, VFDs, robotics, or industrial controls.Certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, welding, or related skilled trades.Food manufacturing experience and knowledge of GMPs.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb throughout the shift.Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and greater weights with assistance.Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and around moving machinery when required.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).Work EnvironmentManufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, temperature variations, and industrial chemicals.Requires adherence to all safety, food safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures.Why Join Us?Join a team that values safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
