Picture this: a storm moves in overnight. At first light, you’re in the cab, connected to dispatch, receiving your route. You plow commercial parking lots precisely to instruction, keep your foreman updated on fuel levels at the start and end of the event, and—if an onsite fuel cell is available—refuel and complete the fuel log before moving to the next site. You finish the push by cleaning the cab, performing a quick safety walkaround, and noting any maintenance needs. That’s a typical event for our Equipment Operators during the 2026–2027 winter season.

Hiring for the 2026–2027 Season

Arctic Snow & Ice Control, Inc. and IFOG, Inc. are seeking experienced operators and salt truck drivers to support commercial clients.

What You’ll Do

• Plow parking lots according to dispatch or field foreman instructions.
• Report all incidents or accidents to your foreman immediately.
• At the beginning and end of each event, inform your foreman of fuel status; when a fuel cell is onsite, refuel equipment and complete the daily fuel log as directed.
• Plow, spread salt, or shovel as needed or directed.
• Maintain equipment in safe, reliable condition and report maintenance issues to the foreman immediately.
• Keep the equipment cab clean and free of debris.

Must-Haves

• Minimum 2 years of commercial snow removal or heavy equipment operating experience.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Clean, legal driving record.
• Valid CDL required for some projects; not required for all operating roles.

Proficiencies

• Skid steer operation
• Wheel loader operation
• Salt truck driving
• Current CDL
• Strong communication skills

Safety & Team Practices

• Attendance at Pre-Job Safety Meetings is mandatory.
• Follow all direction from dispatch and the site foreman.
• Document fuel and work activity accurately.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay rate discussed during hiring; rates vary by position and project.
• Certain Federal Government projects offer paid Federal Holidays.
• Work is event-driven and weather-dependent throughout the winter season.
