Salary Range: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour (Experience dependent)
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing practice in Louisville. You will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care, educating patients on oral hygiene, and contributing to a positive, collaborative office culture. We value clinical excellence and a gentle touch, ensuring our patients feel comfortable and informed during every visit.
Clinical Care: Perform thorough dental cleanings (prophylaxis), periodontal scaling, and root planing.
Diagnostics: Take high-quality digital X-rays (bitewings, FMX, and Pano) and intraoral photos.
Patient Education: Develop personalized oral hygiene instructions and counsel patients on the link between oral and systemic health.
Periodontal Charting: Conduct comprehensive periodontal evaluations and maintain accurate, detailed digital patient records (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
Preventative Treatments: Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and provide nutritional counseling.
Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and Kentucky Board of Dentistry infection control protocols.
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from a CODA-accredited program.
Licensure: Active Kentucky Dental Hygiene License in good standing.
Certifications:
Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross).
Local Anesthesia & Nitrous Oxide Certification (Required or willing to obtain).
Laser Debridement certification is a plus.
Experience: New graduates are welcome! 1–3 years of experience in a private practice setting is preferred.
Skills: Strong communication skills, proficiency with dental practice management software, and a commitment to continuing education.
