Founders Associate (Operations)

About the Role

An early-stage legaltech / compliance AI startup based in Munich is hiring a Founders Associate (Operations) to be a force multiplier for the founding team. This is a high-ownership, generalist role that reports directly to the founders and sits at the intersection of product operations, go-to-market, and company building. You will be one of the first commercial hires, helping shape the operational foundation for rapid growth.

The company builds explainable, controllable AI that automates complex legal and compliance processes for enterprise customers — a technically sophisticated product in a regulated, trust-driven market.

What You'll Do

  • Work directly with the founders across product, operations, and go-to-market on a daily basis.
  • Drive cross-functional projects spanning product operations, GTM execution, and company-building initiatives.
  • Take full ownership of internal operating processes and convert them into scalable, automated systems.
  • Run core workflows hands-on while continuously identifying opportunities to improve and professionalize them.
  • Lead hiring operations and team coordination as the company scales.
  • Execute go-to-market initiatives targeting enterprise customers and strategic partners.
  • Support investor relations, fundraising, and strategic communications.
  • Shape the operational and commercial foundation for the company's next phase of growth.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 1–3 years of experience in generalist, founder-facing, or operations-heavy roles (consulting, venture, or early-stage startups).
  • Proven track record leading hiring operations and coordinating GTM activities in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven, structured approach to decision-making.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects spanning product ops, go-to-market, and company building.
  • Hands-on executor with a drive to own, automate, and scale core operating workflows.
  • Experience supporting investor relations, fundraising, or strategic communications.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work on-site in Munich full-time.

Nice to Have:

  • German language proficiency (strong advantage).
  • Exposure to enterprise sales or customer success.
  • Experience with AI tools and applying them to business operations.
  • Background in legal, compliance, or regulated industries.
  • Prior experience as an early employee at a high-growth startup.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary with potential equity participation.
  • Fast track to a leadership role as the company scales.
  • Direct exposure to founders and full ownership from day one.

Location
