Shape the Flow of Food in a Cold Chain Environment
Under general supervision, you’ll keep products moving through our refrigerated warehouse—safely, accurately, and on time. You’ll work with a range of powered industrial equipment and radio-frequency tools to receive, store, and ship food products for customers who feed communities every day.
A day in your role
- Start your shift with a safety check, then load and unload freight using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, stand-up straddle trucks, walk-behinds, pallet jacks, and double pallet jacks.
- Move inventory to designated locations, stack and store merchandise, and use RF to track accuracy.
- Pick, assemble, label, sort, wrap, pack, and repack orders for shipment—verifying freight for accuracy, visible damage, or infestation.
- Operate to OSHA standards at all times and help maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
- Pitch in where needed: inventory counts, housekeeping, forklift battery changes, and other tasks outside normal responsibilities as business needs arise.
What you bring
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Approximately three (3) months of related warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently, stay detail-focused, meet deadlines, and consistently hit production standards.
- Reliability to support overtime, evenings, or weekends when assigned—and punctual attendance to your scheduled shift.
Physical and environmental realities
- Frequently drive a forklift; sit; hear and talk; use close vision; grasp/handle objects; and type/manipulate controls.
- Occasionally use distance vision; stand; kneel; or crouch.
- Work in spaces with 55 inches of headroom.
- Tolerate controlled temperatures down to –15°F and varying outside weather (heat, cold, precipitation).
- Comfort at heights up to 30 ft. to access elevated product from within a safety cage.
- Stand up to 5 hours during an 8-hour shift.
- Transfer boxes up to 70 lbs and lift/carry product at least 6 ft without mechanical assistance.
