Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Financial
Controller (Supervisor) to oversee daily accounting operations, manage a team
of accountants, and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial
processes. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the
ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders. The ideal
candidate will play a key role in enhancing financial controls, improving team
performance, and supporting management in achieving financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop
and implement work plans for the accounting team in alignment with
management objectives.
- Supervise,
organize, and allocate tasks among accountants to ensure efficient
workflow.
- Monitor
daily accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
with policies.
- Review
and validate financial transactions, records, and reports prepared by the
team.
- Track
team performance and provide guidance, coaching, and support to enhance
productivity and quality.
- Ensure
proper application of accounting standards, procedures, and internal
controls.
- Coordinate
effectively with internal departments, including court secretariats, to
ensure smooth financial operations and information flow.
- Identify
process gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen financial controls
and operational efficiency.
- Support
management in achieving financial and operational objectives through
accurate reporting and analysis.
- Prepare
periodic financial and administrative reports highlighting performance,
issues, and recommendations.
- Ensure
timely resolution of discrepancies, errors, and operational challenges.
- Maintain
proper documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and
organizational requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
degree in Accounting, Financial Accounting, or Business Administration.
Experience
- Minimum
of 10 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
- Proven
experience in supervising accounting teams and managing daily financial
operations.
- Experience
in regulated environments or government-related entities is an advantage.
