Your mission
Transform raw stock into reliable, high-precision components in a climate-controlled facility using advanced CNC equipment. From interpreting blueprints with GD&T to validating dimensions with micrometers and calipers, you own quality at the spindle.
How you’ll contribute
- Review prints, set tooling, and establish offsets to launch production
- Run first-article checks and record in-process inspection results
- Optimize tool/work offsets to hold tolerance throughout the run
- Tag, document, and organize parts per company procedures
- Model safety, 5S, and lean/continuous improvement practices
The schedule and pay
- Location: Rochester, NY
- Status: Full-time, 2nd shift
- Shift rhythm: Start at 3:45 PM, core hours to ~12:30 AM; regular OT extends to ~2:00–2:30 AM
- Rate: $25–$31/hour (DOE) + 10% shift differential
- Overtime: Consistent opportunities, about 15 hours each week
What it takes
- 1–3 years of CNC machining experience
- Skilled with precision measurement (micrometers, calipers) and in-process inspection
- Familiar with tool offsets and G/M code (preferred)
- Working knowledge of GD&T; exposure to CNC programming
- Strong attention to detail, safety-first mindset, and willingness to work OT
