Founding Account Executive

About the Role

This is a hands-on, full-cycle sales role at an early-stage AI-powered marketing platform for B2B SaaS startups. You'll be one of the first account executives on a lean, fast-moving team — reporting directly to the founder — and will own the entire go-to-market sales motion. Your work will directly shape how the company sells, scales pipeline, and converts early momentum into repeatable revenue.

This is an in-person role based in SoHo, New York City. No remote option available.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle end-to-end: prospecting, outreach, discovery, demo, negotiation, and close.
  • Build pipeline from scratch using cold outbound, warm inbound, and creative sourcing — no BDR support to rely on.
  • Run compelling product demos that clearly articulate how the platform solves a founder's top marketing challenge.
  • Help build and document a repeatable, scalable sales process from founder-led learnings.
  • Collaborate with the founder and marketing to sharpen positioning, refine ICP, and improve messaging.
  • Gather customer feedback continuously and share market insights with product and marketing teams.
  • Close high-volume deals contributing millions in monthly pipeline.
  • Operate with significant autonomy as an early AE on a small, in-person team.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of full-cycle, quota-carrying Account Executive experience — preferably in startups or high-growth tech environments.
  • Proven closer with a track record of hitting and exceeding quota in startup or SMB sales contexts.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-source pipeline without reliance on a BDR team or large marketing machine.
  • Experience selling into startups or SMBs, ideally in marketing, advertising, or AI-enabled software.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid change, and the pace of an early-stage company.
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and its applications in marketing and SEO; ability to evangelize product value clearly.
  • Experience collaborating with founders or marketing to refine ICP, positioning, and messaging.
  • Authorized to work in the United States (US citizen or valid US work visa); no sponsorship available.
  • Able to start as soon as possible and work in-person in New York City.

Nice to Have

  • Background at companies in the marketing tech, SEO tools, or AI SaaS space.
  • Experience at a venture-backed startup at the seed or Series A stage.
  • Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Semrush, or Ahrefs.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base + variable: $90,000 – $200,000 USD (OTE, annually)
  • Early-stage equity opportunity
