NPI Manufacturing Engineer — Polymer Components

Do you enjoy streamlining factory processes, solving production puzzles, and bringing new polymer products to life? At Molded Dimensions, we build engineered elastomer and urethane solutions—and we’re looking for an early-career NPI Manufacturing Engineer (2–3 years’ experience) to help us move faster, smarter, and better in a dynamic production environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Champion process improvements that raise efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
  • Lead or support Lean/Six Sigma efforts and cost-reduction projects.
  • Mine production data to uncover trends, root causes, and opportunities.
  • Author and update standard work and process documentation.
  • Provide daily engineering support to production; troubleshoot and close CAPAs.
  • Execute capability studies, equipment validations, and cycle-time improvements.
  • Partner across engineering, quality, and operations to launch new products.
  • Drive process design, tooling development, and manufacturing feasibility.
  • Support PPAPs, first article inspections, and production trials for seamless launches.
  • Use IQMS (preferred) or similar ERP to manage BOMs, routings, inventory, and KPIs.
  • Strengthen ERP/MES data integrity and enable smarter decision-making.
  • Engage in plant initiatives; uphold safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to capital projects—from equipment specs to installation and validation.

Reporting line: Director of Engineering. You’ll collaborate closely with operations, quality, engineering, and production teams—as well as suppliers and customers.

You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of hands-on manufacturing experience.
  • Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience with IQMS or comparable ERP platforms.
  • Proven troubleshooting acumen, analytical mindset, and project management skills.
  • Strong communicator who can work independently and cross-functionally.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in rubber, urethane, or adjacent manufacturing.
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt+).
  • Material science familiarity; knowledge of regulatory/compliance standards.
  • Comfort with statistical analysis and process control tools.
