Facilities Grounds Maintenance Technician

Picture a workday where you start outdoors in Bridgman, MI, walking the property at first light to plan the day’s priorities. You’ll shape green spaces, keep walkways safe, and bring buildings to their best. As a Facilities Grounds Maintenance Technician with WECTEC Staffing Services (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC), you’ll support Westinghouse’s mission to deliver clean energy solutions—while reporting to a Facilities Supervisor who has your back.

What your day may look like

• Maintain lawns using hand, power, or riding equipment; precisely trim and edge around walks, beds, and walls.
• Plant and care for grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs; prune to enhance health and appearance.
• Keep pathways and entries safe by removing snow and ice; rake leaves and clear litter when seasons change.
• Tune up and perform minor maintenance on grounds equipment to keep it running reliably.
• Handle light building upkeep, plumbing, and painting—including small framing/drywall projects and repairing toilets and urinals.
• Rearrange workspaces by moving office furniture and supplies.
• Pitch in on other tasks as assigned to support the site.

What you bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred but not required).
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions and willing to work day or night shifts during winter months.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; communicate clearly; use hands for handling and reaching; lift or move up to 75 lbs; and maintain strong close, peripheral, and depth perception.
• Local to our client's site in Bridgman, MI.
• Helpful background: maintenance, snow plowing, and lawn care.
• Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana and CBD oil), and employment testing.

Compensation and benefits

• Estimated base pay: $22/hour to $23/hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.
