Location: Portage, IN

Pay: $17–$18 per hour (weekly pay) • Schedule: Full-time • Shifts: Immediate openings on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd

Nexus Employment is hiring for a food manufacturing partner in Portage, IN.

A day in the life

You step onto the production floor, where consistency matters and every detail counts. As products move down the line, you examine ingredients, packaging, and finished goods, ensuring they meet quality standards. You run checks and simple tests, flag any irregularities, and keep your workspace tidy and safe while following GMPs. By the end of your shift, your reports help keep customers safe and production running smoothly.

What you’ll handle

• Inspect food products, ingredients, and packaging on the production line
• Conduct routine quality checks and basic testing procedures
• Identify and report defects or nonconformances promptly
• Follow GMPs and all safety standards
• Maintain a clean, organized work area

What helps you succeed

• Background in production or quality inspection (preferred)
• Comfortable standing for 8+ hours
• Basic to intermediate math skills
• Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented approach
