Hiring dependable Class A drivers to operate dry van, 100% no-touch drop-and-hook freight east of I-35. This opportunity includes late-model tractors, predictable home time, competitive pay, and a sign-on bonus.
Compensation: $75,000 to $85,000 per year. Sign-on bonus: $1,000. Additional pay available for detention, layover, and extra stops. Home time: Bi-weekly for 48 hours. Equipment includes late-model Freightliner and Kenworth tractors, fully equipped. Benefits: full benefits package.
Primary responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform no-touch drop-and-hook dry van deliveries according to account instructions and schedule.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report vehicle defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs and required documentation, including ELD usage where applicable.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch regarding schedules, delays, or operational issues.
- Adhere to hours-of-service rules and company safety standards at all times.
Minimum requirements:
- Age 21 years or older.
- Valid CDL-A.
- At least 3 months of solo tractor-trailer driving experience within the last 12 months (training or mentor time does not meet this requirement).
- Able to pass DOT drug screening and meet DOT medical and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in English sufficient for safe operation and clear communication with dispatch and customers.
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous experience on regional or dedicated dry-van routes.
- Proven record of safe driving, punctuality, and professional customer service.
This role provides dedicated drop-and-hook work that minimizes time at customer locations, regular home time, and additional compensation opportunities for stop/detention/layover events.
