A day in the life
You start the morning reviewing a new generator enclosure layout. SolidWorks is open as you refine component placement, then you switch to single-line diagrams to validate sizing and protection. A quick check against IEC, IEEE, NEC, and NFPA standards confirms compliance. By mid-day, you’re coordinating grounding and protection settings, drafting clear installation instructions, and answering a service tech’s question about synchronization and testing. In the afternoon, you support commissioning, troubleshoot a controls issue, and document updates. It’s fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on reliable power generation—exactly what you enjoy.
