Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and Operate CNC machine for the cutting of metallic materials.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches/shop drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to maintain part quality.
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other metrology tools.
- Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
- Tool life management.
- Perform basic de-burr or rework of work in-process.
- Make recommendations to optimize and improve assigned processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform operator maintenance & other duties as assigned.---
Qualifications:
3+ years CNC Lathe experience.
Ability to work independently on 2nd
shift.
High School Diploma or GED.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient use of basic shop arithmetic
Experience using G-codes required
Awareness of general safety, and quality systems.
Willingness to assist with a variety of tasks in a manufacturing setting.
Nice to Have:
- Aerospace Experience.
- Experience with aerospace materials (Inconel, titanium, stainless).
- Tool life management experience.
- Ability to read, write and interpret written instructions, blueprints, shop drawings and engineering specifications.
- Experience with 3-axis machine set up.
