Industrial Maintenance Operations Manager — Presses, Sealers & Automation

Let’s talk about your mission

Do you thrive on transforming complex production environments into reliably humming operations? In this role, you will orchestrate maintenance and installations for production equipment, material handling, building systems, and the full facility footprint—while steering a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all production assets.

Picture this scenario

An urgent changeover is scheduled. You’ve already aligned the preventive maintenance plan (including the knife room) and verified critical spares are in the storeroom. Your team is staged at three key areas: the seven‑color offset press and its cutting/scoring operation, the bank of six flexo presses, and the sealing line with seven flame sealers backed by computerized robotic palletizing. A modification request comes in—your crew executes it safely and productively, production hits its target, and compliance never wavers.

What you’ll own

  • Coordinating maintenance and installation across production equipment, material handling systems, building system equipment, and building/grounds.
  • End‑to‑end preventive maintenance for production equipment.
  • Leadership of maintenance and storeroom clerk personnel (customarily 20+ people), including training for this position and all direct reports.
  • Hands‑on support for production departments and collaboration with other supervision.
  • Safe, efficient execution of all repairs, modifications, and installations on in‑house production and associated equipment.
  • Parts management and purchasing oversight.
  • Administration and adherence to the SQF Code.
  • Capital planning and budgeting; identification of new equipment; and full lifecycle management of outside‑contractor projects—bidding through contracting.
  • Annual service agreements and vendor coordination.
  • Stewardship of facility systems: security, fire protection, and the computerized telephone system.

How you’ll partner

You’ll be the go‑to ally for production leadership, translating operational needs into maintenance action plans and ensuring the plant’s critical assets—from presses to sealers to automation—perform at their best.
