Why this role matters

Operate high-pressure aluminum die casting equipment to manufacture components for the automotive and on-highway truck industries. You’ll keep quality, throughput, and safety in balance every shift.

Where you’ll be

  • Clackamas, Oregon — right off I-205
  • Easy access from Sandy, Estacada, Clackamas, and Milwaukie

Schedule options

  • Swing: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM (Premium: +$1.25/hour)
  • Grave: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM (Premium: +$2.00/hour)

Compensation & time

  • Starting at $24.04/hour for the first 90 days; increases to $24.61/hour thereafter
  • Standard 40-hour work week

What you’ll do (you’ll be trained)

  • Operate crane to place specified die sections into the machine
  • Bolt dies securely; set ram stroke
  • Run safety checks and resolve hazards before production
  • Connect water to the die’s cooling system and preheat with an electric heater
  • Tune water flow and machine speed to suit part geometry and molten metal characteristics
  • Adjust air/spray to clear metal fragments and deliver lubricant to the die cavity and plunger
  • Program and adjust automatic ladling of molten metal
  • Monitor and maintain correct holding-furnace metal level and temperature
  • Track process parameters, measure consistently, and make compliant machine adjustments
