Location: 100% travel

Pay: $22.00 - $31.50 plus weekly Per Diem

Bring your 2+ years of conveyor installation and maintenance experience to the field and help launch high‑performing material handling systems across North America.

A Day in the Role

Morning finds you on a new mezzanine, laptop connected, loading an emulated PLC program. By midday, you’re walking the line, methodically running I/O and device checks against the Description of Operation and drawings. As evening approaches, you package up validation checklists, turn over a clean subsystem to the Controls Engineering team, and submit a crisp daily report of achievements and exceptions—ready to do it again tomorrow at a different site.

What You’ll Handle

  • Collaborate with electrical installers and Controls Engineers to implement and validate simple to highly sophisticated customer material handling systems.
  • Load emulated PLC programs and perform static functional testing per the received Description of Operation and drawing documentation.
  • Execute I/O and device-level checkout and validation.
  • Troubleshoot components including PLCs, field devices, and network repeaters.
  • Test, validate, and remediate controls networks: Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, PROFIBUS, AS‑i, and CAN.
  • Formally turn over validated subsystems to the Controls Engineering group with completed validation checklists.
  • Provide daily and weekly progress reports detailing accomplishments and exceptions.

Travel & Work Environment

  • Willing and able to travel 100% for extended durations anywhere in the U.S.; projects occur throughout North America.
  • Comfort working in varied climates and environments.
  • Capable of walking, crawling, and climbing for extended periods.
