Packaging Line Reliability Technician

Shape Uptime on an Automated Quart Line

At Helion, you start your shift by walking the automated quart packaging line in our food manufacturing facility—listening for changes in rhythm, scanning the Schneider HMI, and checking the secondary packaging cells. A fault pops up; you read the message, trace the signal path, and zero in on the sensor that triggered it. Instead of a quick reset, you follow established procedures, validate the root cause, and bring the line back up swiftly to protect throughput.

What you'll handle

  • Continuously oversee the quart production line and its secondary packaging stages throughout the shift to keep output steady.
  • Diagnose and repair issues on case packers, sensors, conveyors, corrugation systems, and related production machinery.
  • Navigate and interpret Schneider HMI fault messages to pinpoint issues and determine true root causes.
  • Respond rapidly to stoppages and restore flow while minimizing downtime and scrap.
  • Apply operating procedures and troubleshooting instructions—instead of simply resetting equipment—to resolve problems correctly.
  • Communicate clearly with operations on equipment status, downtime drivers, and production risks.

What you bring

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience maintaining automated production or packaging equipment.
  • Ability to read and leverage HMI fault messages for effective troubleshooting.
  • Background with conveyors, sensors, case packers, or comparable packaging machinery (preferred).
  • Root-cause mindset and problem-solving discipline—beyond resets—to prevent repeat failures.

If this sounds like your next step, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and help us maximize production output with minimal downtime.
