Lead CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of CNC machinists to achieve production goals and maintain quality standards.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
• Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce parts that meet customer requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to quality control standards.
• Implement and maintain best practices for safety and machine maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to streamline processes and improve workflow.
• Train new team members on CNC operations and safety protocols.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of materials as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred.
• Proven experience as a CNC machinist, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation, including G-code and M-code.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team.
• Familiarity with quality control processes and tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
