Multitasking CNC Operator

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, load, and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multitasking CNC equipment)
  • Monitor multiple machines during production cycles to ensure efficient operation
  • Load and adjust programs as needed to maintain part quality and production flow
  • Inspect parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Perform in-process quality checks to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications
  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report major malfunctions to maintenance or supervisors
  • Maintain proper coolant levels, tooling condition, and machine cleanliness
  • Manage material loading, unloading, and part handling between machines
  • Follow all safety procedures and company quality standards
  • Document production activities, inspections, and any deviations

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a CNC Operator or Machinist preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with measuring tools and inspection techniques
  • Basic understanding of G-code or CNC machine controls (preferred but not required depending on level)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as required

  • CNC Swiss Lathe (Tsugami, Hanwha, Star, Citizen, Yama-Seiki, Nomura, Index, Eurotech, Tornos, Ganesh)
  • CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) (Fanuc, Kitamura, Okuma, Hwachon, Haas, Dmg Mori Seiki, Mazak, Mikron, Mitsubishi, Matsuura)
