Can You Keep Complex Process Equipment Humming?

Location: Leeds, SC | Reports to: Plant Manager | Pay: $32.00–$35.00/hr | Schedule: Mon–Fri day shift, with on‑call coverage as needed

Is This You?

  • Certified with a torch and welder? Ready to cut, burn, and fabricate safely and to spec?
  • Skilled at rebuilding pumps, gearboxes, and motors—and nailing coupling and sheave alignment?
  • Comfortable opening/cleaning tanks, changing valves, and modifying process/utility piping?
  • Confident on a man lift or forklift, and precise replacing nuts/bolts on 1"–48" flanges?
  • Organized enough to complete every work order, PM, and safety form cleanly and on time?
  • Quick to spot a non‑conformance and propose corrective/preventive actions?
  • Clear communicator who keeps the Plant Manager informed on parts used and parts needed?

What the Work Demands

  • Follow SOPs and site requirements including RMP/PSM, operating procedures, and conduct standards.
  • Climb stairs/ladders; lift within OSHA guidelines.
  • Handle outdoor conditions—radiant heat or cold—and work around 100°F in full PPE: acid‑resistant PVC rain suit (topcoat and pants), rubber boots, gloves, and face shield.
  • Plan for 8‑hour shifts with occasional 14–16 hour emergency repair days and off‑shift callouts (including weekends/holidays).
  • Keep weekly timesheets accurate and uphold attendance and punctuality expectations.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of mechanical maintenance in industrial/chemical operations (preferred).
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft applications, email, and CMMS experience.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, O&M/procedure manuals, manufacturer information, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Willingness to complete role‑specific training/certifications.
