Your impact

  • Blending: Create accurate “Dry Blend” powders by combining specified additives.
  • Compounding: Weigh all materials for each production run; organize and store raw materials per our raw material program.
  • Console operations: Transfer bulk materials from silos/tanks into mixers per computer-generated load sheets with exact quantities.
  • Packaging: Pack finished PVC pellets into bags and boxes per schedule, including correct silo selection and labeling.

Core responsibilities

  • Ensure melt-mixing equipment runs safely and properly.
  • Follow processing instructions aligned to the manufacturing schedule.
  • Adhere to set-up parameters; engage crew lead/supervisor for clarification.
  • Communicate processing notes and quality alerts to operators, support staff, and relief operators; promptly report issues to Lead/Supervisor.
  • Provide break relief and flex across jobs/lines as needed.
  • Complete a 90-day probationary period.
  • Keep your workspace clean and organized.
  • Embody teamwork—assist peers and accept overtime to support coverage.
  • Attend departmental meetings.

Physical requirements

  • Lift/cut/dump bags up to 60 lbs repeatedly during a shift.
  • Scoop material from boxes/drums; total loads per shift may reach 20,000–40,000 lbs.
  • Operate fork trucks and hand trucks safely.
  • Scrape blender interiors; frequent bending/stooping/leaning.
  • Climb ladders and stairs.
  • Handle drums with appropriate tools.
  • Wear required PPE: certified safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, and a respirator when needed.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read/interpret documents and troubleshoot with common-sense judgment.
  • Math fluency with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; compute rate/ratio/percent; read bar graphs.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic for a continuous production environment.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs multiple times per shift; climb stairs; tolerate warm-to-hot conditions.
  • Train on first shift for up to 4 weeks before assignment to 2nd or 3rd shift.
  • Available for overtime, including Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Forklift operation—able to drive safely with a valid license.

Schedule and shift

  • 8-hour production shifts; paid weekly.
  • Overtime schedule posted a year in advance—no production is scheduled for most holiday weekends.
  • Shift differential: $1.25 (2nd) and $1.50 (3rd).
  • Shift available: 3rd Shift (10:40pm – 7:00am).
