Job Overview
We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and general building maintenance across multiple residential and community properties throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area.
This is a hands-on position for someone with experience in **building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, apartment maintenance, commercial maintenance. **The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, diagnosing problems, completing work orders, and handling a variety of maintenance projects.
Experience in multiple trades—including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, mechanical repair, and general maintenance—is highly valued. Pool and fountain maintenance experience is a plus, but training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance throughout assigned properties.
- Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and maintain electrical, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building systems.
- Diagnose electrical and lighting issues and perform minor repairs or replacements.
- Diagnose plumbing problems and perform minor repairs and replacements.
- Perform general carpentry and building repairs.
- Repair and replace drywall, including taping, finishing, and patching.
- Perform interior and exterior painting and touch-up work.
- Inspect buildings, common areas, grounds, and equipment for maintenance issues.
- Identify additional repairs or maintenance needs while working onsite.
- Complete daily work orders, maintenance reports, inspections, and required paperwork accurately.
- Prioritize work orders and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Perform general cleaning and janitorial duties as needed, including restrooms, common areas, and trash removal.
- Maintain tools, equipment, parts, and supplies in good working condition.
- Maintain an inventory of commonly used maintenance parts and supplies.
- Purchase maintenance materials and supplies as needed while keeping costs in mind.
- Assist with pool, fountain, and related equipment maintenance. Pool experience is not required; training is available.
- Work with outside vendors and contractors when necessary.
- Assist with special maintenance projects and property improvement projects.
- Report unusual equipment problems, safety concerns, or material shortages to management.
- Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Perform other maintenance and repair duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Approximately 2 years of general building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, construction, or skilled-trades experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to prioritize multiple work orders and maintenance requests.
- Strong attention to detail when completing paperwork and work orders.
- Basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
- Comfortable using smartphones and mobile applications for work-related tasks.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable personal vehicle and proof of insurance.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and carry 50–100 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
- Ability to work at heights up to approximately 8 feet.
- Ability to repeatedly use hands, wrists, and fingers for tools and repair work.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain.
- Ability to travel between multiple properties throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area.
- Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations when required.
Schedule & Travel
This position involves local travel throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area between assigned properties.
The normal schedule may be Monday through Friday, with occasional evening, weekend, holiday, extended-hour, and rotating on-call responsibilities based on business and emergency maintenance needs.
