What you’ll do
Operate and maintain CNC Swiss-style lathe machines, finish machines, hand tools, fixtures, and jigs.
Run production strictly to established procedures and guidelines.
Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets, and instructions to drive correct part flow.
Set up parts according to blueprints and set-up sheets for repeatable, high-quality results.
Use calipers, micrometers, height stands, Micro-Vu, Keyence, optical comparator, and VICI tools to perform AQL-based quality checks as required by work instructions.
Correct dimensional issues at the machine and approve setups completed by other operators.
Maintain accurate counts of completed and scrapped parts; complete production paperwork and enter all required information into the company database.
Perform burr removal as specified.
Make machine adjustments and tool changes whenever needed to hold tolerance and throughput.
Interface with the Visual Labor Entry system and monitor work orders in real time.
Comply with all policies and procedures.
Take on all other duties as assigned.
You’ll excel if you have
Demonstrated knowledge of CNC lathe machines and CNC controls.
Ability to read and use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and depth micrometers.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and work operation sheets.
Strong computer skills for data entry and navigating production systems.
Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Team communication skills to collaborate with other operators.
