Role: Distribution Dock Operations Manager | Comp: $65,000 – $75,000 per year | Type: Full-time, In-person | Address: 3411 Woodhead Dr, Northbrook, IL 60062

• Do you coordinate inbound and outbound freight so precisely that production never waits?
• Are ERP/WMS transactions, pick slips, bills of lading, and certificates of conformance second nature to you?
• Can you lead a warehouse team—hiring, training, and reviewing—while improving safety and cost?
• Do you speak the language of carriers, customs, and international compliance?

What You Will Do

• Run all inbound/outbound shipping and receiving activities with on-time, accurate documentation.
• Build schedules, assign work, and coach a team of shipping/receiving clerks and warehouse associates.
• Partner with production, procurement, and sales to align dock cadence with manufacturing output and customer due dates.
• Protect inventory integrity through reconciliation, cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution.
• Maintain OSHA compliance, cleanliness, and 5S on docks and in storage areas.
• Operate ERP/WMS (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar) and Microsoft Office to track, analyze, and report.

What You Bring

• 3–5+ years in shipping/receiving or warehouse leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Expertise with ERP/WMS and carrier coordination; strong MS Office skills.
• Knowledge of domestic and international freight rules, customs paperwork, and carrier compliance.
• Organized, decisive, and calm under pressure with multiple priorities.
• Forklift certification (or ability to earn quickly); experience with material handling equipment.
• High school diploma required; Associate’s/Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.

Bonus Points

• Inspection background within aerospace, aviation, automotive, or composites.
• Exposure to composites and thermoset materials.
