Core responsibilities
Follow Cell work instructions and direction from your CNC Trainer/Supervisor covering job steps, safety/environmental practices, and inspection requirements
Complete all production and quality paperwork accurately
Set up the work area by preparing machines and gages for operation
Run parts and verify conformance using the correct gages
Deliver quality that meets company and customer specifications
Hit or surpass production targets in a high-volume environment
Adjust offsets to maintain part specifications
Follow the tag procedure without exception
Replace and correctly select inserts, including proper radius
Maintain Housekeeping, Safety & Environmental standards (recycling, labeling, spills, and related programs)
Comply with all applicable Quality and Environmental system requirements
Offer continuous improvement ideas for safety, productivity, quality, and housekeeping—submit to your supervisor or HR Box
Handle other tasks as directed by your supervisor
What we’re looking for
Experience with—or the ability to be trained on—CNC lathes, mills, and broaches
Machine shop education from high school or beyond
Capability to make offset adjustments
Understanding of insert types/radii and proper change-out procedures
Confidence using gages: plug, snap, flush pin, go/no-go, and calipers
