We’re looking for a hands-on mechanic-welder to own installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment across the site.
What You’ll Tackle
Break down, install, align, assemble, and fabricate production assets: mills, pulverizers, conveyors, crushers, rotating equipment (belts, chains, fan housings, blowers, motors).
Diagnose faults and restore functionality for mills, pulverizers, crushers, and conveyors.
Plan and execute rigging for heavy, awkward loads; move and set equipment safely.
Decide when to salvage or scrap removed parts and equipment.
Weld and cut to repair, fabricate, or enhance metal components.
Work from blueprints and verbal instructions—and innovate when needed.
Apply your skills anywhere in the plant and team up with other crafts.
Tools of the Trade
Standard craftsmen’s tools and grinders
Electric/gas welding and cutting apparatus
Transportation vehicles
Overhead cranes
Oil cans and grease guns
Where You’ll Work
At heights or in confined spaces as required
Independently with minimal supervision or with other maintenance crafts
In hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy areas depending on assignment
What You Bring
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass a skills assessment
Flexibility for shift and rotating schedules; daily/weekend overtime; call-outs for breakdowns; commitment to preventive maintenance and root cause analysis
4+ years in manufacturing and/or heavy industrial skilled trades
