Manufacturing Regulatory Compliance & Quality Systems Lead (SQF Practitioner)

Why this role matters
You will be the go‑to expert for OSHA, EHS, SQF, GMPs, sanitation, pest control, product quality, and regulatory reporting.
You will connect Operations, HR, Maintenance, and Corporate teams to one integrated compliance strategy.

What you will own
Environmental Health & Safety
Create, roll out, and maintain site safety policies, procedures, and training.
Lead investigations of accidents, injuries, illnesses, and near misses; verify corrective actions are effective.
Prepare and retain OSHA logs and other required regulatory documentation.
Conduct plant safety, health, and environmental audits on a defined cadence.
Manage Workers’ Compensation claims from reporting through closure.
Lead the Employee Safety Committee to drive engagement and accountability.
Keep SDS documentation current and manage plant security protocols.
Coordinate regulatory inspections and third‑party audits.
Quality, Food Safety & SQF
Develop and administer quality and food safety systems that meet or exceed standards.
Serve as the SQF Practitioner; maintain SQF system integrity and readiness.
Ensure compliance with plant rules and procedures tied to customer service, including:
Adherence to run‑order specifications for each product.
Execution of prerequisite programs aligned with the SQF Code for the Manufacture of Food Packaging and food safety requirements.
Full compliance with GMPs consistent with all Food Safety Requirements.
Oversee sanitation and pest control programs to prevent contamination risks.
Plan and execute internal quality audits; maintain inspection records.
Support customer audits and respond to quality inquiries with data‑driven insights.
Training, CI & Reporting
Deliver safety, quality, and compliance training across shifts and roles.
Measure and report safety and quality KPIs; communicate trends and actions.
Lead RCCA investigations, process improvements, and continuous improvement efforts.
Provide technical compliance support to production and support functions.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
4–7+ years of manufacturing experience in safety or quality compliance.
Experience with OSHA, SQF, and GMPs preferred.
Strength in regulatory interpretation, communication, training, and problem solving.
Proven ability to juggle priorities and implement process enhancements.
Where you will work
On the production floor and in the plant. Expect exposure to noise, heat, dust, and industrial equipment. Frequent floor time is essential to success.
Certifications
OSHA 10‑Hour Certification (OSHA 10) preferred.
Pay & Benefits
Base pay target: $80,000–$90,000, plus bonus eligibility.
The posted range represents nationwide minimum/maximum targets; actual offers reflect your skills, experience, and education/training. Hiring at the top of the range is uncommon.
