CNC Mill/Lathe Operator — Dimensional Control Specialist

Role snapshot
- Location: Rochester, NY
- Status: Full-time
- Shift: 2nd shift; starts at 3:45 PM. Core hours typically to ~12:30 AM, with regular overtime extending to ~2:00–2:30 AM.
- Pay: $25–$31/hour based on experience + 10% shift differential
- Overtime: About 15 hours/week available
What you’ll do
- Set up and run CNC equipment safely, efficiently, and repeatably
- Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T requirements
- Perform in-process inspections and document results
- Adjust tool and work offsets to maintain spec
- Follow company procedures for tagging, inspection, and documentation
- Contribute to lean/continuous improvement activities
- Keep your station organized and compliant with PPE/safety standards
What you bring
- 1–3 years of CNC machining experience
- Proficiency with precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Working knowledge of tool offsets and G/M code (preferred)
- Experience with GD&T and familiarity with CNC programming
- Detail orientation, safety focus, and willingness to work overtime
