Community Engagement & Social Media Strategist

Our client is looking for a proactive and strategic Community Engagement & Social Media Strategist to help strengthen brand visibility, industry relevance, and audience engagement across multiple social platforms.

This role goes beyond content scheduling and publishing. We're looking for someone who actively follows industry conversations, identifies emerging trends, engages with relevant communities, and uncovers opportunities for our brands to participate in meaningful discussions.

You will play a key role in supporting both our real estate and mortgage brands by helping drive agent engagement, recruiting efforts, brand awareness, and community growth through thoughtful social media strategy and engagement.

What You'll Do

Social Listening & Industry Monitoring

  • Monitor social media platforms, industry publications, and online communities to stay informed about trends, conversations, and opportunities.
  • Track discussions related to real estate, mortgage lending, homeownership, recruiting, and industry developments.
  • Monitor competitor activity and identify best practices that can strengthen brand positioning.
  • Surface timely content opportunities and engagement recommendations.

Community Engagement

  • Actively engage with comments, mentions, direct messages, and industry conversations across social channels.
  • Build relationships with agents, partners, collaborators, and industry professionals.
  • Participate in relevant conversations that increase brand visibility and credibility.
  • Identify opportunities to highlight partners, stakeholders, and brand advocates.
  • Escalate important trends, opportunities, or concerns to leadership when appropriate.

Social Media Strategy

  • Recommend organic social media initiatives that support brand awareness, recruiting, and retention goals.
  • Develop monthly and quarterly recommendations based on audience insights and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to align content with audience interests and business objectives.
  • Help refine processes for content collection, organization, and distribution.

Social Media Operations

  • Manage content calendars, scheduling, and publishing across:
    • LinkedIn
    • Facebook
    • Instagram
    • TikTok
    • YouTube
    • X (Twitter)
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather content and ensure consistent publishing.

Reporting & Insights

  • Track engagement, audience growth, conversation trends, and content performance.
  • Translate social media data into actionable recommendations.
  • Present findings and strategic opportunities to marketing leadership.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in social media management, community management, or digital marketing.
  • Experience managing multiple social media platforms for a company or brand.
  • Strong understanding of community engagement and social listening best practices.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt to established brand voices.
  • Experience using social media scheduling and management tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in real estate, mortgage, housing, financial services, or related industries.
  • Experience using social listening tools such as Sprout Social, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, or similar platforms.
  • Experience analyzing social media performance and developing strategic recommendations.
  • Familiarity with Canva and content management workflows.
